Hi Shahbaz, ( I wouldn't write "Dear Shahbaz" anymore because that is what I use officially :P ) :D...

It's very sad to hear that you are leaving us (I should say me ). Here's a memoir of our beautiful journey till now and wish it continues like this ...

The journey began when we met for the first time on 12 April 2010, when I was selected to join your team and told to meet you next morning. While leaving for the day in the evening I asked you at what time I need to report next day, you said 9:30am Sharp....

That was the first interaction between us, and it has continued till date ( I wish it goes on and on forever :D).

Next morning, you assigned me a PC and  introduced me to two guys, Shwetabh and Alok, saying "You will be working with them".

Shwetabh was already on a leaving trail by then and Alok turned out to be my Best Friend later on...

However, after working for couple of days in your team, you came to my desk in your usual brisk walking style and introduced me to other two guys, Ajay and Vibhu...

At that moment, I didn't have an iota of idea about what was happening, and it took me couple of more days to realize that my team had been changed and wasn't going to work under you.

I will always hate you for doing that :P :D !!! ( Later on I realized this was actually a Boon for me :), reasons explained in the next few lines )

Those were initial days, for what was to come later on, was a Thrilling Experience.

The things which I learnt from you are invaluable.

I used to take tension about timelines, which you never gave and let me take. You always had a calming influence on me and told valuable things that had a soothing effect in testing times. Otherwise I would have been devoid of any hairs on my head at that time. :D

Stock Details and it's various versions, Cash Reconciliation, Collection , were the thorns in our flesh which we removed collectively.

But our Girlfriend Ms. Match, always chased us somehow and caught us unawares, still we fought and brought her down umpteen number of times, thus defeating her hands down. ;)

On top of all this, we had Delivery, which always did a nasty dance in front of the Customer and we had to deliver on Saturdays, Sundays and sometimes even on a National Holidays. I remember you always asking me "Shall I come to office, if you need help", on holidays. I didn't actually wanted you to come to office on weekends, but I actually needed such inspiring words in tough times. But inspite of that you made sure, you were logged onto Sametime till the time I was in office. Your commitment to work is awe inspiring for me.

I remember when we had to correct Doctor Incentive Report, you were awake for me till 4 O Clock in the morning, and were there at 10 O Clock next day to help me, which speaks volumes about your team spirit and care about your team members.

In spite of me and Alok, not being in your team, you always took care that we are not missed out in any Event, Function or Celebrations. I don't think somebody would do that for us in the future and we do not expect it now from anybody else since now that you have given us so much to us. I was at Nagpur facing a tragedy and expressed my desire to come to the Big Launch at Mumbai... Everyone had said it wasn't possible now, since the teams are decided. You did not hesitate to say " Even if you come at the last minute, I will take you in". This could not have been done by somebody else, but YOU.

We also had our share of happy moments, the Shangrila Picnic, the Mumbai Marathon, Rahul's Marriage and the wonderful journeys together... I skipped the Half Marathon to have a Dream Run with you :D. The valuable inputs given by you whenever we struck a conversation are still imbibed deeply in me.

The rapport which we have built, I guess wouldn't have been there, if I would have been in your team. That's why it was a Boon, NOT being in your team.

As they say, 26 alphabets are not enough to express feelings, there's so much to say, but I am falling short of words to write at the moment.

As a person, I would always remember you as a Good Person, a person who liked to take things to the next level and actually took them, a Go Getter. No wonder you are "The King Khan".

I would miss the Fast Walking Guy on the floor, who got and did whatever was to be done, whenever he wanted. We have done so many things taking refuge of your name at the office :P. We also did some secret things in the office, which very people know. It's a secret between you and me ;) ...

No one cannot forget the first things in life, I am proud to say you are my First Boss, and it is very difficult to forget the first things in life. Hence, I would inculcate all the great qualities you possessed.

Wishing you Best of Luck for your Professional as well as Personal Life,
Your Team Member, Admirer, and dare I say Friend,
Devashish

Beauty !!!

Bright Red Sun rising up through the mountains in the morning, the Aroma of Earth after a Drizzle, Rainfall in the afternoon..... What do they make you feel ? Wow !!! Beautiful !!! These are the first few words that come to your mind.

Now how about this, waking up in the morning, looking out of the window and seeing the Cute/ Handsome Girl/Guy next door first up, or rainy scene in a movie with the hero/heroine clad in white clothes, or Sachin Tendulkar playing his signature straight drive or dancing down the wicket to hit a Six.... Beautiful  ( I know you have many more words to describe the above) is the first word that would come out of your mouth.

Beauty !!! What is it ? Is it just something about looking good, soothing to the eyes, something attractive. Let's us introspect.

If you ask any person to describe Beauty , he/she would give a long philosophical answer, something like "It's all about Being Yourself". But what exactly Beauty is every person has a different perspective attached to it.

The perspectives for leading a Beautiful life are : -

1) Being Happy

2) Being Healthy

It doesn't matter how much money you have, you may boast of having the best Sports Bike in the world, the Best Car that has ever been made, but if your hands are not fit enough to hold the Bike handle, or the feet are not nimble enough to press the foot on the gas, you are the most pitiable person in the world because you have lost the Beauty enjoying things you have.

Another important aspect of Beauty which research has found out is that, Human Beings are naturally inclined to look at symmetrical things.

All of us in our natural instincts imagine things to be symmetrical, be it the pair of eyes, hands or legs, or anything which comes in pair ( ***No naughty thoughts Guys *** ). We are naturally born symmetric. But by making our body go through all the physical, emotional tortures we make it asymmetric in some way or the other.

So, certainly we can say real Beauty is about Being Happy, Being Healthy and to be just what you are !!!

As they say,

"Beauty is in the eyes of the Beholder"

I have written this post for Yahoo! India and Dove "I Believe in Real Beauty" under the topic "What does real beauty mean to me?"

Direct Tax Code !!!

It's time to rejoice for salaried ( also enterpreneurs , actually I meant taxpayers ) persons as the GOI (Government of India) has announced an exemption for every slab of income.

Here are the details: -

  • Tax for income between Rs. 2 lakh - Rs. 5 lakh: 10%
  • Tax for income between Rs. 5 lakh - Rs. 10 lakh: 20%
  • Tax for income over Rs. 10 lakh: 30%
The limit for exemptions for salaried people is Rs. 2 lakh, while that for senior citizens is Rs. 2.5 lakh.

Corporate tax has been kept at 30%.

The revised proposal has also made it clear that tax incentives on housing loans will continue. Payment on interest on housing loans up to Rs. 1.5 lakh will continue.

The new Code comes into effect from April, 2011.

Blunder Blunder Everywhere !!!

This wasn't supposed to be the topic of my 50th post. But this is how it goes.

Making a mistake is not common for human beings, but it hurts when we take it to the next level. The day started with me waking up late. Courtesy late night socializing on web 2.0. (Mistake rated * )

I get ready for the office, notice that the maid has not come today. I suddenly realised that it's Rakshabandhan and tomorrow she will come with her meekly voice and say that she deserved a holiday on the auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan. Damn, it's only WE who do not deserve a holiday. (Mistake rated *)

Left for the office, notice that the lift has just gone down, and it would take it another 10 minutes to reach back to the 15th Floor. My mistake again, didn't press the elevator button on time. Somehow I reached the ground, start walking down the hill towards the bus stop.  To my amazement, the bus to the office has arrived just in time. I moved towards the bus but didn't realize 50 odd other people were moving with me towards the bus. I missed the bus, ( it seems a mistake , doesn't it ??? --> read on ) suddenly a girl who wasn't able to catch the bus got down and bumped into me. My left hand got hurt a bit, but the look that I got from the girl was she had been struck badly. With the kind of glare that was thrown at me, even a mirror would have cracked. ( Mistake rated ** ). I knew at that moment this is not my day. I reached the office and got a call, a courier guy has reached home and has a parcel in store for me. I complimented ( *#@*%$#*# ) him in my mind for the On Time Delivery ( Mistake rated *** ) . Another reason why things must not be delivered on time.

Rest of the time was spent in the office, you can imagine how it went considering the kick start I had for the day. Mother called up and inquired whether the Rakhi had reached me. I had to say yes, the courier did come, I wasn't there. :(        ( Mistake rated **** )

I returned home, everything seemed to be normal and just checking out the social media sites that I check everyday. Suddenly, I got a call from my colleague on my friends cell. My friend called me up and said it was for me, I took the phone hastily and started talking. She was asking "Did your friend cancel the train ticket, which I had booked from his account ? " ( WHOA !!! not able to gauge mistake or blunder ???   ). As all engineers, I responded " I will get back to you in 5 minutes" . Few days back I had booked a ticket from my friends account. My friend saw an unknown ticket booked from his railway account and had canceled it saying, " I should ensure that the person who has accidentally booked the ticket from my account gets back his money " . This was told my another roommate. I immediately called her back and told her that he had accidentally canceled the ticket. She said " Thank You, I will call you back". The ticket was for her parents who were going to another city today and they were unable to get their name in the reservation chart.

I called her back and she hasn't picked up her phone until now. Time to face the music tomorrow in the office. And Yeah , forgot to tell this was a  Mistake rated ***** . A BIG BLUNDER !!!

Corporate Life !!! Independence Day Celebrations at the Office !!!

15th August Independence Day of India, for us it started on 13th August. One of those few days when I get up early for the office. I don't know what is so special about Friday, that it gets me waking up early. This Friday was not an exception. Our office HRs had planned an Inter Zone competition which involved the decoration of each zone on a particular theme. The zone with the best theme would be the winner.

In our zone, we discussed on many themes, and finally it was decided that we should go ahead with the "States of India and their Culture" theme. Each cubicle was allotted 2-3 states to depict. Every zone seemed to be upbeat with the decoration, but somehow our zone was a bit slow in starting off the decoration. The clients do not let you breathe when you are in office and the effect showed on us. :(

We got the materials on Thursday Evening. Ha ha, that seems too late for depicting all the states of India.

Somehow we managed to decorate a few states. By EOD (this word is amazing :P ), we had only managed few states Goa was alive and kicking already. But the other parts of India were totally in a disarray. Jokes were flying all over the place, Rajasthan was totally BANJAR (totally barren cubicle with no decoration), Madhya Pradesh seemed like it had been struck by Bhopal Gas Tragedy ( things kept half hazardly and thermocol all over the place), Assam with empty tea cups in which tea was drunk the whole week....etc. Only Eastern part of the Himalayas was visible. LOL!!!

Forgot to mention there was a group singing competition, leave alone the rehearsal we hadn't even decided on the song. LOL again.

Coming back to Friday morning, I took off for the office with Guitar in one hand and bag on the back. Guitar was to be kept at Goa cubicle.

Some of us had planned to reach early and take care of things. Only few people turned up, everybody else was on normal office time but late for the preparations, me included. Got some angry stares from colleagues for turning up at office timing. Somehow we managed to decorate, all of a sudden everybody was busy decorating their own cubicles. Out of the blues, we had all the states flourishing in the zones. Our zone was beaming with colors and representing the colorful India.

Suddenly, an announcement was made with that monotonous TING TONG beep. Usually the lady makes announcements for the bus pass renewal or some security incident. Maybe she also had a day off. The announcement was for the song Vande Mataram. The announcers were singing Vande Mataram today for a change. Wow !!!

It was 11am and time had come to for the celebrations and more importantly competition. Compliments were flowing in from the HRs for the entire floor's effort. Celebrations began with group singing competition and guess what we were chosen to sing first. Ha ha ha . Somehow we diverted it to other zone, meekly decided to sing second.

This is where the fun began, we joined in each and every zone's song and gave them a good chorus support. We didn't care if we had won or lost as we were enjoying the most. Singing songs in chorus, hooting aimlessly and having fun. We started singing our patriotic song and somehow began well. Everybody was singing so patriotically that nobody got an iota of idea that we hadn't rehearsed even once. After that there was an event in which we had to prepare an impromptu skit. We were given "Dandi March" for enacting. We executed this one also in one take only but this time with one light rehearsal. We managed to prepare the skit in 2 minutes. WHOA !!!

After that the judges came to our zone, they were amazed by the kind of effort that was put in by all of us for our theme. They seemed to be impressed.

Then it was time for the prize distribution ceremony. Usually, the prizes are announced from 3rd, 2nd to 1st but as this was an exceptional day the 1st prize was announced and guess what ???

Our zone had won the overall competition and there was special praise for our zone's theme decoration. We jumped with joy and continued with our chorus celebrations. We were shouting madly slogans like "Joh Jeeta Woh Sikander, Jo Haraa Woh ............, well complete yourself !!!

The cubicles which were undecorated the previous day were more colorful than ever and impressed the judges. Rajasthan which was totally BANJAR was decorated with puppets and colorful bangles, Madhya Pradesh seemed like it had recovered from the  Bhopal Gas Tragedy and displaying the Kanha National Park and specialities of MP, Assam was displaying the Kaziranga National Park and the tea baskets. Complete Himalayan range was visible now with snow and five rivers flowing down in Punjab. ;)

The unrehearsed song had won us the prize in singing and what's more the person who depicted Gandhi in the Dandi March skit won a Special Prize. All in all a total team effort and example of Just in Time (JIT) compilation, maybe everyone is inspired by Java's JIT compilation. :P

And yes forgot to mention what was the prize, it was huge box of chocolates !!! Mmmm!!

A totally enjoyable day with lots of fun. Wish we get paid for more such days !!! ;)

Corporate Life - Chapter 1 "Drop in a Mail"

I am quite new to the so called Corporate World. You must be wondering why my post reads "Drop in a Mail". Well, MAIL is the only thing that gets things moving in this world. It's not all hunky dory out here, if you want to get something done you have to DROP A MAIL.. If you have to inform something you have to DROP A MAIL. There are even team leaders who ask the team members to DROP A MAIL so that they come to know when their teammates are in the office. LOL !!!

Gone are the days when work was done on a sheer request of words. Words don't matter any more. Actually there is very little space for words, only thing that matters is a MAIL which is DROPped into your mailbox to get things done.

So why am I writing such a thing in my blog, after all it is important for us to communicate and have something for our records to know what we had planned, said and executed. I agree, completely agree, but there are some things in the world that could be done through golden words spoken from our very own mouth. Ironically, there are some stubborn people who do not listen to your requests and just say "DROP IN A MAIL". LOL.

Corporate Life !!!

In this series, I am going to tell you about the hilarious events that take place in the corporate world. Here's one of them.

Today I went to the HR for changing my appraiser and reviewer on the company portal. I gave the EMPLOYEE IDs of my appraiser and reviewer to the HR and asked him to change them as I had been moved to another project.

The HR took the IDs and started dialing the number and replied, " It says these numbers do not exist ". LOL.

I said in my mind ** how could they ?? they are the employee ids of my seniors ** . Later I told him that they were EMP IDs and you need to update them on the company portal.

After that a girl from the HR team came and interrupted us in the process. The HR ragged her by saying I am the new entrant in the HR team and asked her to contact me if she had any doubt in her work. On the top of that he called a number and asked me to talk to the concerned person for whom the girl had come. LOL.

Must say HRs ROCK and without the HRs the corporate life would have been monotonous and fun free !!!

That's all for today !!! See you after the office , errrrr they call it EOD here ! Will write on the "EOD" sometime, it's an interesting WORD in this WORLD.

Bharat Bandh and the Spirit of Mumbai !!!

July 05 2010, BHARAT BANDH alias Nationwide Strike against fuel price hike and inflation. Looking at the funny side of it, literally BHARAT BANDH means India Closed !!!

Ohh  was India really closed? Ask any Mango Man ( Aam Aadmi ) , he will say it WASN'T ! Whatever any political party does, it only adds to the woes of the so called common man. That common man who decides the fate of the so called VVIPs and political leaders in pursuit of pinnacle of the Indian Governance.

While there was BHARAT BANDH , many things turned ON ! The stopping of local trains , setting ablaze tyres, throwing stones at Best buses were the things that switched on. The only thing that reaches the spot before the police these days is, MEDIA , reached out to these spots and gave us updates. Ironically, they didn't get scratch from these incidents although BHARAT BANDH meant stopping of all services in India, MEDIA included.

Anyways, I went to the office today. The city which never sleeps , almost seemed to have calmed down today. There wasn't the everyday crowd which throngs onto the road, which makes Mumbai one of the busiest city in the world, but there were people seen patches walking the street walking to the bus stops under police surveilance.

Not many people turned in the office, the usual buzz on the floor wasn't there. I must tell you the thing which is constant in the office is WORK. Whatever the occasion or day, your company ensures you have your share of WORK. Left the office quite early, went to the gym and had dinner.

This is the most important part in todays post, after dinner I walked to the bus stop with my colleagues. It had already started raining heavily. After I got down from the bus, while crossing the signal to reach the home, suddenly, I heard a THUD and saw an old man tumbling and a bike skidding on the road. For a moment I thought the old man had fallen from the bike, but then I realized that the rash bike drivers had actually hit the old man who was trying to cross the road. It was a ghastly hit since the man bounced 3 times before bumping his head into the road divider. I rushed to the spot and stopped any vehicles that were coming towards the old man. I gave my umbrella to a small boy and started lifting the old man. Thankfully people were around, especially young ones, who helped me took the old man off the road. Moreover, by God's grace one police van was around, police also rushed to the spot and ordered for a stretcher from the van. They also took into custody the rash drivers and put them into the van. The boy whom I had given my umbrella actually turned out to be the old man's son. He was completely shocked and asking his dad to get up. Only to get silence in reply from his father as he was unconscious. May God help the injured man recover quickly from this accident.

Kudos to the spirit of Mumbai people who rushed to the spot immediately in spite of not knowing who the victim was or where he came from. However, this incident has taught me many things. Here are some of those : -

1) Life is too short so enjoy it to the fullest.
2) Stay in touch of your family and friends no matter where you are.
3) Forget about all the grudges.
4) No matter how a big problem is , it is too small to be worried  about as there are many more things in life that Matter.
5) Everything in this world can vanish withing a second.

Thanks , I hope you enjoy the later part of this post..

First Rain at Mumbai !!!

It's First June, First Day of the Month, First Rainy Season in Mumbai !!!

Finally Monsoon has struck Mumbai. And at what a time, I am sitting in my room, 1am Midnight !!! I was just fiddling away with my laptop, when suddenly I heard the ceiling of the Mall in front of my apartment make a splattering sound. Seemed like some construction work. I ignored it for a moment, but when I smelt that sweet Earthy scent which comes everytime the mud meets the water; I looked out of the window and Oh Hell Yeah, it was raining.

I wish the rain would have come on a weekend afternoon so that I would have got the chance of drenching myself again in the first rain. But nature has it's own ways, who would have thought that after a Sunny Afternoon, you will get a sweeter midnight....

There is rain, there is lightning, there is everything that could entertain me at this time but there is still a void of not being with the family which surrounds this beautiful eve on rainy midnight.

Anyways hope this rain continues to come all through the season, and bring down the Inflation with them.

Good Bye people . I am feeling sleepyyyy zzzzzzzzzzzz !!! Ohh yes Good Night ;) Take Care !!!

India vs Pakistan, Champions Trophy, Centurion : 26 September 2009

How many of you last watched the arch rivals India and Pakistan clash in an One Day International Cricket match.
Do you remember when was last India vs Pakistan one day international played?

back on 2 July 2008 at Karachi.....and Pakistan won it by 8 wickets in hand..

Over an year hence, arch rivals meet again at Supersport park in Centurion for Group A match in ICC Champions trophy 2009 in South Africa. This will be 123th Ind v Pak ODI, with Pakistan leading 68 to 45 wins for India and 8 no results.6 September 2009, the day of the clash, is a Saturday, kind of holiday for most reading this.

Here's how you can enjoy the clash of the Titans: -

Match Start time :- is utterly important. Note that this India vs Pakistan champions trophy match will be played as a Day-Night ODI in South Africa = 2.30pm local time = 6pm India time = 6.30pm Pakistan = 10.30pm Sydney/Melbourne in Australia, 8.30am Canada, 8.30pm Malaysia/Singapore, 12.30am New Zealand, 1.30pm UK, 5.30am Los Angeles and 8.30pm New York in USA. For middle east viewers, match will be starting 4.30pm in the afternoon.

TV Telecast Channels :- Starcricket in India and Pakistan, check local listings for more details.

Interesting Facts:- The only previous India vs Pakistan at the venue ~ Centurion, was a cracker. Pakistan put up a healthy 273 batting first (Saeed Anwar 101) but Indians chased down it with 6 wickets in hand and 4.2 overs remaining! Openers Virendra Sehwag (21 off 14) and Sachin Tendulkar (98 off 75) blasted likes of Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar, Shahid Afridi and Waqar Younis to all parts of the ground (specially six over third man) and Yuvraj Singh's half century sealed the game.

Moreover, India has a 100% winning record in World Cup (** touchwood **) against Pakistan.

Interestingly, that World cup 2003 match is the only instance when India and Pakistan played a one day international in South Africa when Openers Virendra Sehwag (21 off 14) and Sachin Tendulkar (98 off 75) blasted likes of Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar, Shahid Afridi and Waqar Younis to all parts of the ground (specially six over third man) and Yuvraj Singh's half century sealed the game.

The six over third man by Sachin on Shoaib Akhtar's bowling got the Moment of the Year award and guess what the award was received by Sachin through Shoaib himself. :P

India Launches 7 Satellites from Sriharikota !!!

India has launched seven satellites from a single rocket, demonstrating its growing skills in multi-satellite launches. The success comes nearly a month after India had to end its inaugural Moon mission early.

Within a space of 20 minutes, an Indian rocket placed one big satellite and six small ones into space from the Sriharikota space center in eastern India.

The big remote-sensing satellite will map fishing zones around India, measure ocean surfaces and wind speeds and track monsoons and cyclones.

The six small satellites belong to other countries - four to Germany, one to Switzerland and one to Turkey.

Last year, India put 10 satellites in space in a single launch.

The head of the Indian Space Research organization, G. Madhavan Nair, says the latest launches have reaffirmed India's capabilities in successfully putting satellites in space.

"It is a fantastic achievement," he said. "I think we have once again proven that we can do the job precisely."

In the past decade, India's 46-year space program has focused on developing rocket-launching capabilities to gain a slice of the multi-billion-dollar space-launch market. It has put an Italian satellite and an Israeli spy satellite into orbit. But India is still a relative newcomer in a field dominated by big players such as the United States, Russia and the European Space Agency.

Wednesday's satellite launch also brings a lift to the country's space scientists, who were disappointed last month when the country's first mission to the Moon had to be terminated after contact with the unmanned spacecraft was lost.

That mission was undertaken to map the Moon's surface and search for water. Scientists say the mission was a success, and has yielded very useful data, despite its termination, a year ahead of schedule.

In recent years, India has scaled up its ambitions to explore space, not wanting to be left behind by countries like China. It hopes to send a manned mission into space, in four years time.

India's space program functions on a relatively modest budget of about $1 billion a year.

Jai Ho !!! Great going Indian scientists !!!

Josie's Story !!!

This is the new book on the block that has been making news.

In 2001, 18-month-old Josie King was taken to the nation's best hospital, Johns Hopkins, after she was severely scalded in the bathtub at home. A few weeks later, she was dead of complications from dehydration, due to a series of preventable medical errors.

Now the mother, Sorrel King, who still lives in Baltimore, has written her own account, "Josie's Story."

Josie initially approached Women and Work in order to improve her confidence and self esteem, as she had been out of work for some time and she was fairly new to Milton Keynes. Her learning needs were lack of confidence in communicating and interpersonal skills.
Josie had to overcome her lack of self-confidence due to past experiences that had left her doubting her own abilities. She was afraid of not being accepted for who she was.
since joining the programme Josie has begun studies in communication and training. Josie enthuses: “Woman and work has changed my life. I have gained a lot of confidence and experience. The support and assistance I have received helps me remain focused on my goals and I have made some good friends.”
When the programme finishes Josie is looking towards working in training and development, designing and delivering training
and eventually running her own training company delivering
soft skills and training to the corporate world.

Peace of Thought !!!

21st September in the 21st Century, fondly known as International Peace Day !!!

On September 7, 2001, a new resolution was passed by the United Nations General Assembly to give the Day of Peace a fixed date and declare it as a global ceasefire day. That day was set to be September 21st. Just four days later on September 11, 2001, the World Trade Centers were attacked and Peace Days came and went without any ceasefires.

To commemorate this day I first of all Greet you on this occassion.

Coming back to Peace, surely there must be few things ringing in your mind as to what is the significance of following such days, when

  • we cannot read the newspaper on a single day, without the news of violence in it.
  • the rest of the world is plagued by other problems such as poverty, health related problems etc.
  • we have inter and intra country wars for issues that are beyond reach of the common man.
  • the youth of the country is devoid of jobs and is struck by recession.
  • many innocent lives are taken away by a certain terrorist attack in some or the other part of the country.

This might seem overtly pessimistic but candidly writing, the common man doesn't even care about these sophisticated observation of days, given his sufferings. So,here lies the big question front of our society "how does one promote peace in the world ? "

World peace is now becoming day by day a major concern for all political leaders and governments due to its growing importance over other alarming factors such as climate change; it is, as it seems, useless to fight climatic changes and its consequences when war and racism prevails everywhere and hundreds of people are dying due to political instability, war and racism, which all form part of the factors acting against world peace. It is futile having a good temperate climate when terrorism, rioting and discrimination are striking in every corner of the globe and thousands of people are being killed. So, the great importance of world peace cannot be stressed enough.

So, it is my earnest request to not only observe peace day on 21st of September each year, but to take necessary steps which would promote Peace within an Individual, City, the Nation and the World.

Happy International Peace Day !!! :)
